Basil Tip #3 — Fresh Basil Pizza

A weekly food ritual at our house is “Friday night pizza and a movie.”  We choose frozen, take ‘n bake or delivered, depending on our budget that week.  And it’s always plain cheese pizza, because we can never agree on toppings, and then just add our own.  On my slice, it’s a mountain of fresh basil from the AeroGarden on an already cooked slice, then  into a 400 degree oven until the basil just starts to wilt.   What’s better than a pile of fresh basil on top of a cheesy slice of bubbling hot pizza?  Not much in my world!  Even pizza feels healthy with fresh green stuff on top.
