Marjoram’s flavor is roughly a cross between oregano and thyme but gentler and sweeter, and it can pretty much be used wherever you would use either of those herbs. In fact, substituting one of these herbs for another is a great way to develop your herb palate! Marjoram starts off growing slowly, like thyme and oregano (keep the grow lights low as long as you can!) and likes to have its horizontal runners cut off to promote fuller, bushier growth.
