Not just a pizza oregano

Photo of oregano

Oregano’s flavor is most familiar in this country to pizza lovers, but elsewhere in the world it’s used to flavor grilled or roasted veggies, lamb,  fish, pasta sauce and salad (especially in Greece)  AeroGarden oregano is slow to start – like thyme, marjoram, and sage – and needs the grow lights to be at the lowest setting until it’s well established.  It benefits from good pruning; cut off any long horizontal shoots to encourage more bushiness and upright growth (this applies also to the other slow-growers mentioned above).  If it starts looking “clumpy”, you can gently shear it instead of pruning single stems.
